About Us

I’m Charlie Edwards, owner of Edwards Family Tree. Growing up north of Pawnee, I spent my youth climbing trees, hauling hay, and chopping firewood.

Without a clear plan for life, I went to NOC Tonkawa. Then I meandered through Oklahoma State University, taking all the classes that interested me until I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in English, minor in creative writing, and, as my advisor pointed out, just a pinch shy of a minor in religious studies. During this time, I continued my seasonal outdoor jobs and worked at a local cabinet shop while starting a family with my wife, Sommer, the preacher’s daughter from my home church in Skedee.

Through patient encouragement and mentorship from friends and family, the Lord helped me realize that my lifelong experiences with trees, proclivity toward manual labor, and love of the outdoors were always there, just waiting to be combined into my dream job: being an arborist and a business owner.

With each new step we take to grow or make our work more efficient with better equipment, my faith is tried, my spiritual hearing is tested, and God proves Himself faithful in provision through amazing clients like you! I truly feel called to this work, and I’m grateful for all of you who give me that chance.
